Family Health & Wellness

The LGW works in partnership with Rutgers New Jersey Medical School to provide low-income families and other members of the community with health services and education as part of their S.A.V.E Women and S.A.V.E Men initiatives. We provide uninsured men and women with access to medical consultations, tests, and screenings, including early cancer detection.

S.A.V.E. Women:

For uninsured women over the age of 40, the program provides lectures on cancer prevention as well as free mammograms and PAP smears.  Lectures are offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.

If you are in need of this service, please contact us.
If you would like to volunteer, please fill out this form.

S.A.V.E. Men:

For uninsured men over the age of 50, this program provides free clinical checkups and preventive health education, as well as prostate cancer screenings and colon exams at no-charge. Lectures are offered in English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
