Milú Villela hands the Certificate of Partner Organization to the IEJPN

The Instituto de Educação José de Paiva Netto (IEJPN), located in the district of Bom Retiro, in the capital of São Paulo, Brazil, received the Certificate of Partner Organization 2006 from the Centro de Voluntariado de São Paulo (CVSP) [Volunteer Center of São Paulo]. The ceremony occurred at Itaú Cultural, and was directed by the entrepreneur Milú Villela, President of the CVSP, Faça Parte – Instituto Brasil Voluntário, of the São Paulo Museum of Modern Art and of the Associação Comunitária Despertar. She is also Good Will Ambassadress of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

The honorific title is conferred only to registered organizations and that keep an active partnership with the CVSP. For Milú Villela, “the Certificate of Partner Organization is a unique opportunity to highlight the performance and the results of the involvement of thousands of people who form the great net of voluntary action”.

The IEJPN was qualified inside the criteria of the homage, which is directed towards social organizations that develop structured, consistent and transforming volunteer programs. One of the most expressive educational units created by the Legion of Good Will, the teaching facility is distinguished by the effective life transforming action for thousands of children and adolescents in personal and social risk situations, besides developing an innovative pedagogical proposal of formation of the ecumenical citizen. “Here we study. Brain and Heart are formed” is a quote of the President of the LGW, the journalist and writer José de Paiva Netto, and serves as motto to the Institute of Education.

The homage was also given to other great entities that equally demonstrate commitment with the conscious exercise of Solidarity and citizenship, through volunteer actions.
