10/16/2008Brasília/DF, Brazil – On October 21, the Temple of Good Will (TGW), the Pyramid of the Luminous Spirits, completes 19 years of existence providing to its pilgrims the feeling of peace, harmony and integration with the Celestial Father. Every year, this monument receives more than one million pilgrims, according to official data from Brasília’s Tourism Office (Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turismo – SDET) turning into the most visited monument of the Brazilian capital.
Acclaimed by the People as one of the Seven Wonders of Brasília/DF, Brazil, the Temple of Peace, as it is known by its visitors, is preparing a special program for this month to celebrate its anniversary. Since its inauguration in 1989, the monument has never closed its doors. It receives people from all segments of society, in a fraternal ideal of ecumenism and union of the family Humanity.
Among the commemorative events of October, we highlight the ones that will occur on the 21st, when the Ecumenism Day is also celebrated. At 8:00 p.m., an Ecumenical Ceremony will take place with the participation of representatives from several segments of human life, at the Nave of the TGW.
On the 24th, at 12:00 p.m., a solemn session to homage the 60 years of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights will occur, integrated with the Week of Spirituality at the United Nations (UN). The event will take place at the José de Paiva Netto Plenary at the LGW’s ParlaMundi. At 6:00 p.m., an Ecumenical Presentation of LGW Choirs from the states of Brasília/DF, São Paulo/SP, Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Belo Horizonte and Uberlândia/MG, Porto Alegre/RS, Campinas/SP, Americana/SP, Ribeirão Preto/SP, Goiânica/GO and Campo Grande/MS, will bring moments of great emotion to everyone present. On the sequence, at 9:00 p.m., the drama group of the Ecumenical Militant Youth of the Good Will of God from São Paulo/SP will present the play "The Feminine perspective of the Gospel. Because all Women are Mothers”, at the Art Gallery of the TGW.
On Saturday, October 25, the programming is as follows:
9 a.m. – Opening Solemnity of the Meeting of the Two Humanities and ecumenical programming at the Nave of the TGW with the participation of choirs from several regions of Brazil;
12 a.m. – Unction in the Christ of God
2 p.m. – Spiritual Initiation of the Youth Ceremony;
3 p.m. – 33rd Festival of the Legionnaire Couples;
4 p.m. – Solemn Session of the Meeting of the Two Humanities (Heaven and Earth);
