Bruna Romera 10/25/2008 Brasília/DF, Brazil ― Art, history and culture are also part of the commemorations of the 19th Anniversary of the Temple of Good Will, the most visited monument of the capital of Brazil, according to official data from Brasília’s Tourism Office (Secretaria de Desenvolvimento Econômico e Turismo do Distrito Federal ― SDET).
With the objective of contributing to the identity of the Brazilian theater, the Ecumenical Militant Youth of the Good Will of God presented on October 24, at the Art Gallery of the TGW, the play The Feminine Perspective of the Gospel ― Because all women are mothers, inspired on the article of the writer and journalist Paiva Netto entitled All women are mothers ― published in several means of communication in Brazil and abroad.
The play narrated the Gospel of Jesus, according to Evangelist Luke, by means of the story of remarkable female personalities. They represent many other women who left their mark in the history of Humanity and became true models of struggle, respect, justice and above all, Love, to the Human Being. With a public of more than one hundred people, the play caused emotion and exalted maternity. "It is a rich, strong and clarifying play (...). It is possible to see that the role of women in society is a differential. In former times, they were not valorized by their achievements and ideals. They did not have the opportunity to express their opinion or even do something that showed that they had the same capacity as a man. And today we see that the role of women in our history made a great difference”, affirmed Ana Caroline Camargo, a youth from Curitiba/PR, Brazil.
"In the play we were able to understand that all women are mothers, because their accomplishments and participation in history are considered their children”, said the spectator Renata Pietrângelo Brugnolo.
On the stage, 34 volunteer actors and citizens, members of the LGW’s Youth Movement in the city of São Paulo/SP, Brazil, worked their body, voice and expression in scenes, choreographies, songs and technological resources, building step by step the story. The play also counted with musical instruments such as a piano and percussion from basins and buckets. "It is really nice to make this historical panorama especially here at the Temple of Good Will, which reunites all people and human values. If we examine history, we will find many messengers of God that through education, science and philosophy, were able to participate of the evolution of the human beings. When we understand the article of the writer Paiva Netto: All women are mothers, we realize that we can change our destiny and the destiny of other people, when we act with Good Will always”, affirmed Tamara Natach, member of the LGW’s youth drama group.
In the conception of the play, the Gospel of Jesus continues to be written in the battles faced by innumerable dedicated men and women, including those who do not have their names registered in historical documents, but are recognized by their good deeds. It is an artistic production that stimulates the practice of the ecumenical citizenship.
