Since its beginning, one of the Religion of God’s priorities, are the children. For this reason, the President-Preacher of the Religion of Universal Love, José de Paiva Netto, created on February 2003 the International Forum of the Little Soldiers of God, of the Legion of Good Will (LGW). The forum, which that reached its 8th edition, discussed the theme: Goodwill to change habits. The conclusion, after one year of activities, will occured on March 26.

The event, whose Patron is Jesus, the Ecumenical Christ, has the goal to encourage children protagonism, awakening in each child the experience and living of spiritual, ethical, and moral values, providing them a place for dialogue and a space for them to express themselves. In this manner, the little ones have the opportunity to debate, in a constructive way, the problems that affect Humanity and that worry the Little Soldiers of God, promoting a reflection on possible solutions for them.

Children in Brazil and around the world got ready for the forum by participating in activities focused on this year´s theme. On January 25, the Day of the Little Soldiers of God*1, the Good Will Legionnaire Maria Albuquerque, directly from the United States, registered one of these moments through the Super Good Will Communication Network, highlighting the importance of planting Good Will in the hearts of children to change their habits.

In the school where her and her daughters Samara and Mariana de Albuquerque Malaman work, they put in practice the Pedagogy of Affection, an educational proposal of the President of the LGW, conducted with children up to 11 years old . On the Day of the Little Soldiers of God, they developed an activity that worked with the habit of noticing the best in each person.

In the activity carried out in the classroom, the name of each Little Soldier of God was written in a piece of paper which was then folded and placed inside a mug. Afterwards, each child had to pick a paper from the mug with the name of another student. Then, they had to look at this classmate for one minute and write good things about him/her,” Samara explained.

Maria, in turn, pointed out the importance of the activity that was developed in the lives of all the children who participated. “Our hearts, Samara´s, Mariana´s and mine, are overflowing with happiness to be helping our kids inside our classrooms. We are happy to be building this bridge, this connection, with the total Love of our Lord Jesus Christ, with His New Commandment, and also for participating in this Forum with the children who we work with daily (…). We worked the theme with the kids based on the Good/Thoughts, Good Words and Good Deeds Campaign*3. These three things together form Good Will, which we all need to have, starting with the kids, to change their habits. These campaigns of the Legion of Good Will really contribute towards a better future for them.”

*1 Day of the Little Soldiers of God –The President-Preacher of the Religion of the Third Millennium instituted the Little Soldiers of God Day on January 25, 1986, during the inauguration of the Jesus Super Day Care Center, of the LGW, in the city of São Paulo.
