Be part of our journey in giving at-risk children quality education!

From now until August 9, the Legion of Good Will (LGW) participates in the Macy's Shop for a Cause Challenge

In partnership with CrowdRise, Macy's Shop for a Cause Charity Challenge will award up to $300,000 to charities across the United States. The charity that raises the most money from July 11th to August 9th will win $100,000. There are also weekly Bonus Challenges for charities to win additional prizes.

Donations to the LGW will go towards to our Early Learning and Community Center in the Ironbound district of Newark, New Jersey. Here, approximately 30% of families live below the poverty line. 7.7% of the population are unemployed. These facilities will impact approximately 1,300 low-income families. Over 100 at-risk children will get the education and support they need. Parents will have the opportunity to find work knowing that their children are in good hands.

During this challenge, we aim to raise at least $10,000 for the renovation and completion of the Early Learning and Community Center. Your donations will bring a smile to the faces of underserved families. As a thank you, you will receive an exclusive savings pass to shop at Macy's during the annual Shop for a Cause event from August 10th until August 13th. Any donation you make is tax-deductible.

Let us remember the words of the LGW president, José de Paiva Netto: "Here we study. Brain and heart are formed." Your donation will give children access to good education and positive moral values. You will unlock doors to opportunities for children and families that they did not know they could open.
